Fidgeting! All right!

The simple activities of daily life, such as washing dishes, walking to the car, even fidgeting, may help older people live longer, according to a study published today that is the first to measure the energy used for these tasks and its effect on longevity.

Active seniors live longer, study finds - The Boston Globe

That is so freakin cool! No more washing dishes for me, dude.

This study goes on to say...

Senior citizens who were most active, regardless of whether they exercised, were nearly 70 percent less likely to die during the six-year study period than those who were most sedentary, the study found.

Meanwhile, people who were not active at all for six years were already.... Oh, never mind. That's a little too close to home.

Anyway, now I'm left with this problem. I mean, I know there's a big market for longer living stuff these days, baby boomers and all, but does it have to get so complicated?

Does taking fish oil pills count as fidgeting?
