Grammar counts (but not for much, it seems)

Prince Joachim of Denmark has his sights set on America.

On Friday, the palace announced that the second son of Queen Margrethe and his wife, Princess Marie, are moving to Washington, D.C., this summer.

[Emphasis mine.]

It wound up in Duluth

"Duluth International Airport has recorded more than 116 inches of snow this season — more than 40 inches above normal."

Not here. The snow.

Now it can be said. We had an exceptionally easy winter, weatherly speaking, hereabouts. I can remember only one day — one — of seriously icy conditions on sidewalks and streets. The driveway got plowed only twice, and once wasn't really necessary (the other was a disaster — for the driveway, not the snow). We had temps in the mid-40s in January — I wore my heavy down jacket only once, and that was because of the wind, not the temperature.

But somehow a winter in this part of the country without snow is even more drab than a winter with it. So, bring on spring. And a little color, please.

Feeding the beast

President Biden signs bill ordering declassification of COVID origins information

But why?

There is no way the R's and the D's will agree on this, any more than they agree on vaccines, masks, "lockdowns," or…well, anything else.

And who's surprised? An impressive array of intelligence agencies can't agree on it either.

This is just tossing more fuel on the fire — a fire that's destroying…what?

If you like blowing things up…

…or even just watching, this might be the perfect job for you.

[The US Navy] Norfolk Detachment of Atlantic Targets & Marine Operations…helps with air-to-air and air-to-ground target towing, electronic warfare training, and surface and subsurface targets for live-fire exercises.
Turns out they do have a few job openings, for "small boat operators." Don't pay much but hey, you might not need it anyway.
