Looks like they finally caught up with…
Two Americans arrested on charges of selling aviation tech to Russia
…oh wait, not those two. Just a couple of guys from Kansas.
Meanwhile…
Since the anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, U.S. officials have said they would increase enforcement and sanctions on people and entities that assist Russia in the procurement of weaponry and technology that would bolster its military.
Meaning they weren't enforcing these things before? Or just not very much? Or what, exactly?
Enforcing, but not for those two?
Ooops

Seriously? Was there ever?
Is there a future for video games journalism?
The world’s power brokers are investing desperately in the games industry, but games media is another story entirely.
Desperately?
Sometimes I think I'm not quite keeping up.
The State Department has a Bureau of Cyberspace now
Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital PolicyBureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy
Complete with an ambassador and…
The Bureau addresses the national security challenges, economic opportunities, and values considerations presented by cyberspace, digital technologies, and digital policy and promotes standards and norms that are fair, transparent, and support our values.

James Bond books scrubbed by ‘sensitivity experts’ ahead of 70th anniversary
Revisions to the Bond books depend on the market. In America, edits include toned down sex scenes and modified racial references in “Live and Let Die.”
I was in the Army, stationed at the old Ft. Devens and halfway through my first Bond novel, Moonraker, on a weekend pass in Boston when I found myself sipping a vodka martini and perusing the menu at a restaurant called Jimmy's Harborside. What would James Bond order, I asked myself.
The answer: Cherrystone clams, I ordered some, for the first time, and I've been a fan ever since.
I just hope the new version doesn't have him eating tofu.

Federal Election Commission hikes contribution limits ahead of 2024 election cycle
The Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 established limits for contributions by individuals to candidates and national party committees starting with the 2004 election cycle. The commission increases contribution limits every odd-numbered year to reflect changes in inflation. Inflation skyrocketed in 2022 to the highest level in four decades, and unprecedented contribution limit increases reflect the historic economic heat.

EPA orders ‘pause’ of derailment contaminated waste removal
From the New York Post:
EPA puts brakes on shipping of toxic Ohio train derailment waste
Either way, the chemically contaminated soil and fire-fighting water (who knows how they keep that separate from regular, you know, drinking water) from East Palestine, OH, is wanted by nobody nowhere. Not even at a "licensed hazardous waste treatment and disposal facility" in Texas or a similar location in Michigan. So (from the AP story)…
“Currently, about 102,000 gallons of liquid waste and 4,500 cubic yards of solid waste remain in storage on site in East Palestine, not including the five truckloads returned to the village,” the governor’s office said.
Yep. There.
