Things were starting to get gloomy and then…

Hot Pockets in short supply at AAFES, commissaries because of coronavirus

Nestle, which makes the microwavable meat- and cheese-filled crusts that many Americans turned to during pandemic-related lockdowns, told the Army and Air Force Exchange Service and other retailers that it will have “severe inventory constraints” in its Hot Pockets product lines because of the global outbreak, AAFES spokeswoman Julie Mitchell said.

The questions keep coming

What could be more 2020 than an ongoing invasion of jumping worms?

Collectively known as Asian jumping worms, crazy worms, snake worms or Alabama jumpers, they’ve become well established across the South and Mid-Atlantic and have reached parts of the Northeast, Upper Midwest and West.

A one-time-only offer

Normally I'm not a big fan of early voting. A lot of things can happen in a month, or even a week, before an election. Plus, it's nice to get out once a year, walk to the polling place. But, thanks to a global pandemic and rampant moronitude, this is not a normal time.

Joe Biden's been campaigning for 40 years. If you still have questions about him, maybe you should check what planet you've been living on.

Trump is Trump.

Grab a stamp. (You may not even need a stamp, but if in doubt… I say use a self-sticking one. You won't even have to lick.)

And BTW, if you're one of the people thinking about tweaking the rules for the next "debates," you needn't on my account. I have an off switch.

Is this the Halloween you've always dreamed about?

Become "Mayor of Hell" & stay a night if you dare

"Ever been to Hell and back? Now’s your chance. This month, I’m handing over the keys to the Gates of Hell and appointing you Mayor for the night."

Seems like a perfectly 2020 thing to do.

(And yes, this Hell does freeze over. Regularly. Bring a hat.)

I thought it was just a bad dream

Now I'm finding out other people saw it too, It was even in the newspaper this morning; they saw it.

Yikes.

The opening paragraph…

…of Jasper Fforde's new novel reads as follows:

Somebody once said that the library is actually the dominant life form on the planet. Humans simply exist as the reproductive means to achieve more libraries.

And it's straight down the rabbit hole from there.

There are some things that just can't be screwed up

Verizon scrambling to unload HuffPost as losses mount

Verizon owns the Huffington Post? Verizon is the telephone company, right? Well, one of them.
The telecom giant — which acquired the site formerly known as the Huffington Post as part of its $4.4 billion purchase of AOL in 2015

AOL owned the Huffington Post?

Verizon has pitched the property to prospective buyers including Thrillist-owner Group Nine Media, Rolling Stone publisher Penske Media Corp., Bustle Digital Media and J2 Global, insiders said.

And where did these guys come from?

[Disclosure: Nobody owns us. Except Google, of course. Google owns everybody. Everybody just doesn't know it yet.]

In 2016, Lydia Polgreen took the reins as top editor from Huffington, who left to build a wellness and lifestyle company…

In the meantime, think how much hassle you could save yourself…

by just not having your own airplane.

When A Private Jet Is Not Enough, Here’s Your Own Private Hangar

That could be because hearing Keinan tick off a list of problems that come along with sharing hangars would probably make you sign up on the spot.
