Fact Check-‘LOL’ acronym does not endorse Satan
Posts are wrongly saying that the acronym “LOL” stands for “Lucifer Our Lord”, and that those who use it are endorsing Satan.…Priestess Serena Malone, administrator at Church of Satan, told Reuters via email that Satanists are atheists and do not have prayers. “So, it is a hoax,” Malone said.

On O’Hare tarmac, Biden, Lightfoot huddle on Chicago violence before president’s Crystal Lake speech
“The strike forces announced on June 23 are a separate effort to stem gun violence,” the DOJ spokesperson said. “They will represent a sustained and focused coordination among federal, state, and local law enforcement partners across jurisdictions in significant firearms trafficking corridors.”
The aim is to “disrupt” the flow of guns before they get to Chicago.
… but given the government's track record at "distrupting" the flow of illegal drugs hither and yon, I think I won't bank on this plan just yet.
But here it's been raining every day

US priest: Exorcisms on the rise as demons now haunt victims by text
“By the way, several exorcists have had the same experience, getting texts from demons, and why not?” Rossetti said. “In the past they messed with electronics — TVs and lights turning off and on by themselves. Now they mess with cellphones.”

When the adults are in charge
The hometown newspaper here excitedly reported the other day that the local Congresscritter, one Jim McGovern, has inserted into the House version of the government’s pending infrastructure bill $1.8 million for construction—excuse me, design and construction—of a new, one-mile sidewalk in our little burg.
That means, if we could bring said sidewalk in for a mere $1,000/yard we would have $40,000 left over for cigars.
That’s a lot of smoke.
Is it too late to mention this?
