Postcards from Katrina, a community arts and health education program, in partnership with City Year provided a nonviolence through the arts workshop on MLK day at Cardozo High in Washington, DC. There they had an unexpected visitor, President Bush, who came to visit and sign postcards. The website is www.postcardsfromkatrina.com. The creator is an Oklahoma native Tambra Stevenson with family in Gulfport, MS and friends in New Orleans, LA.
Thanks, Anon. So the story's "send postcards to the victims of Katrina" didn't quite tell the whole story then. I know some people who would be interested in the web site and will forward it.
Some of the postcard pictures are available for viewing at Flickr: http://flickr.com/photos/postcardsfromkatrina/
