I'm not impressed with moments of silence or candlelight vigils or noble rhetoric about this event. If you want to do something to remember that tragedy, the best thing to do is to simply stop living your life in fear.

I haven't been through airport security since I came East. It's been bad enough in a couple of bus stations I've been through. In December, 2001, they were searching luggage at the Cleveland bus station - go figure that. But from what I've read, it's just possible I'm too grumpy to fly anywhere these days.
