On the Tomatometer. How often do you see a thing like that? And how often do you see actors like these, old-timey actors doing their old-timey acting thing? Lana Turner, Kirk Douglas, Walter Pidgeon, Barry Powell, Dick Sullivan, Gloria Grahame, and all directed by Vincente Minnelli: The Bad and the Beautiful.

This is a 1952 movie. That year was in my Sci-Fi period, before the whole icky lovesick thing kicked in. So I didn't see it back when it was a big thing in the 50's. If you didn't, you should see it now. If you did, watch it again. It really is that good.

But if you're holding out for a movie made in this century, I'm saying Source Code is the one.
