Providing gas for the gaslight

I'm getting sick of that term, gaslight, but this morning the Washington Post ran a story…

At G-20, Biden announces ambitious corridor connecting India, Europe

…which noted:
Officials in the countries involved are expected within 60 days to come up with a timeline for the projects — linking energy grids, laying undersea and overland cables, and providing more digital connections. Some of the tasks involve installing hydrogen pipelines from Israel to Europe, which administration officials hope will advance clean energy goals.

It would take them twenty years to run a hydrogen pipeline across this county, the county I live in, and probably the county you live in too, given all the regulations, environmental impact studies, protests by various citizens, and general tomfoolery involved.

What makes them think they can do it in Europe?
