A new flu is spilling over from cows to people in the U.S. How worried should we be?

If you have a respiratory infection in the U.S., doctors can identify the pathogen causing the infection only about 40% of the time.

Sounds a little…precarious. Doesn't it?

But maybe it won't matter much:

Data published in 2020 by the Association of American Medical Colleges estimates that the U.S. could see a shortage of 54,100 to 139,000 physicians by 2033.
