Three hundred and fifty languages are spoken by U.S. residents; many speak two, some more.
English is the principle language for 80% of Americans, nearly 13% speak Spanish (the U.S. has more Spanish-speaking residents than does Spain); Chinese, Tagalog, Vietnamese, French and French Creole, Arabic, Korean, Russian, and German round out the top 10.
No language is the official language of the United States.
