Seashells pile up on North Carolina beaches as coronavirus keeps tourists away
I remember reading a story a long time ago about a crusty old Massachusetts codger who owned seaside property with a beach that was littered by rocks. He put a sign out by the highway: Genuine Plymouth Rocks, 10¢ each.
Tourists payed him ten cents apiece to clear the rocks of his beach.
Apparently in North Carolina they get it done for free.
