The rule is, if a holiday comes before Wednesday in any week, that week’s trash pick-up day on days that follow the holiday (in said week) come a day later thus, for us, Thursday is the Wednesday that week. Which means tomorrow I don’t have to run out to the curb in the 17º early morning—I can wait until Thursday morning, when it will very possibly be a toasty 19º.
Clearly, this works out well. I’m all for it.
