In a front-page story out of Afghanistan this morning the Times calls the relationship between that country and the United States "troubled." Yeah, we invaded them, didn't we? That's pretty troubled all right.
Also on page one the venerable newspaper reports "President Obama is poised to order the National Security Agency to stop eavesdropping on the leaders of American allies." Who, us?
Meanwhile, for comic relief, in its section on health stuff the Times reports, "Recently, experimental psychologists at Oxford University explored the function of kissing in romantic relationships." Soon to be a big-budget movie, no doubt, not likely to make our list.
