It was being pushed by some conservatives who wanted the administration to have more flexibility in implementing the cuts. But not all Senate Republicans backed the plan, and Senate Democratic leaders and Obama opposed it.

These guys are way more interested in avoiding blame then they are in fixing this self-imposed "sequester" problem. What a bunch of clowns.
We really need a third party. And maybe a fourth.
