NEW YORK (Reuters) – Bitter cold gripped most of the nation on Saturday, with wind chills pushing the mercury to its lowest temperatures of the winter so far, forecasters said.So far? What do these guys know that they're not telling me?
Yeah, it's chilly. But it's also mid-January, so what's the point? And today the sun is out and this afternoon the temp may get as high as 20º, the optimists say, which is bordering on balmy this time of year.
Oh, and later in the week...
...more snow on the way.
But it'll be all gone by May.
