Doing right by doing nothing at all

For now, given the gridlock in Washington, especially in the wake of the midterm elections, Congress has an opportunity to take a giant, $300-billion step forward toward reducing the budget deficit by doing one of the things it does best: absolutely nothing. Do us all a favor, Congress, let the Bush tax cuts expire and, for once, show some fiscal responsibility.
