All regularly scheduled CTA [Chicago Transit Authority] bus routes will be included in a real-time travel information service starting next week that will send e-mail notices to riders telling them when buses will arrive, officials said Monday....

This summer, the CTA plans to test a text-messaging system for its Bus Tracker program, which uses global positioning system technology to provide transit riders with real-time service information, that allows for two-way texting, CTA President Richard Rodriguez said.
