"Blumenthal had been barred from working in Clinton’s State Department because of his role in pushing negative stories about Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign, but continued his personal and professional relationship with the Clintons, which eventually consisted of sending intelligence reports about Libya which Clinton then forwarded on.
"Outside of his work for Constellations Group, he was employed by the Clinton Foundation and consulted for Media Matters and American Bridge, two organizations supporting Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential bid."
